Third Annual Queer Yoga Retreat in Vermont
July 17th - 2oth 2026
Join retreat host Sophie Lyons (she/they) for a 4 day, 3 night LGBTQIA2S+ Affinity Yoga retreat at Willow Retreat Center. This retreat is an offering to folks who wish to deepen their yoga practice and spend intentional time immersed in Queer community. Wake up to morning yoga, enjoy delicious food, and spend the day engaged with optional activities such as; a Queer Yoga Workshop led by Angie Benitez (she/they), meditation, journaling, swimming, and workshops to explore our relationship to Queerness and time to unplug in the Vermont outdoors.
This retreat is open to all folks who identify anywhere within the LGBTQIA2S+ spectrum. Starting Friday late afternoon the 17th and running till Monday mid morning the 20th, this retreat will be a brave space for folks to connect deeper to their Queer identity and utilize the practice of yoga to come home to themselves. During this retreat, we will practice asana, meditation, and a wide breadth of yogic practices to explore what Queerness means to us.

Testimonials from Last Year’s Retreat:
“Do what you can to make it happen if it sounds even the littlest amount of interesting to you. Sophie's care and intention in holding safe, queer space is beautiful and Willow is a truly special place and the perfect location for basking in all of the joy. You will feel abundant support, laugh a LOT and make friends. Your past and future selves will literally thank you for going on this retreat!”
“This retreat was truly a transforming and overwhelmingly positive experience for me, especially as someone who went in to this retreat solo. I found so many meaningful connections, and have gained memories for a lifetime. I almost didn't sign up, but I am so grateful that I trusted my gut and did it anyway. I truly can't wait to return for more retreats in the future.”
“Sophie is a fantastic yoga teacher and her classes very quickly became an essential part of my weekly routine. She creates fun and funky flows that let you try something new, without taking everything so seriously. I’ve taken regular classes with Sophie and attended her Queer yoga retreat - in two very different physical environments Sophie’s teaching created that same light and tranquil atmosphere. Her approach creates a safe space for students to explore various movements in a judgement free and extremely supportive environment, and it's because of Sophie that I will likely do yoga for the rest of my life!”
